Today we showcase the women presidents and prime ministers around the world.

We need more female leaders. When women become leaders, they provide a different set of skills and offer a different perspective. More importantly, female leaders bring structural and cultural differences to the table, which drive effective solutions.

According to the UNFPA- 6 of 10 of the poorest in the world are women; two thirds of the world’s illiterate are women; women constitute less than 28% of senior and mid management; lowest female leadership rates in the world are in North Africa and Western Asia.

Watch part 1 of the women presidents around the world:

“Women belong in all places where decisions are being made. It shouldn’t be that women are the exception.” ― Ruth Bader Ginsburg

“Feminism isn’t about making women stronger. Women are already strong, it’s about changing the way the world perceives that strength.” ― G.D. Anderson

“There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish.” ― Michelle Obama

“Teach her that the idea of ‘gender roles’ is absolute nonsense. Do not ever tell her that she should or should not do something because she is a girl. ‘Because you are a girl’ is never reason for anything. Ever.” ― Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, “Dear Ijeawele, or a Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions”

Watch part 2 of the women presidents around the world:

“One of the criticisms I’ve faced over the years is that I’m not aggressive enough or assertive enough, or maybe somehow, because I’m empathetic, it means I’m weak. I totally rebel against that. I refuse to believe that you cannot be both compassionate and strong.”- Jacinda Ardern, former Prime Minister of New Zealand

“Every job I took, I was deeply uncomfortable in terms of feeling unqualified. Every step, every risk I took, built confidence.” – Amy Hood, former CFO for Microsoft.
