Why does it matter?
There aren’t enough young people in leadership positions in the boardroom and government.
Business and government is shaped by decisions made by people. These people should reflect society’s demographic in race, age and gender.
Hierarchical and patriarchal culture makes it more difficult for the youth to be heard.
Brimming with energy, young people provide fresh perspectives, irrespective of the status quo and a disruptive, creative, innovative mind that is willing to try experiments that may fail with no concerns about reputation.
Informed, aware and more engaged than ever before, youth shou ld be spaces where decisions that affect society are made.
They are not leaders of tomorrow. They are leaders of today.
